if you restore something,
it can recover and enhance the functionality of
that object.
v1 of my portfolio.
after graduating calarts, taking a few art classes
at lacc to defer my loan repayment for a while and
to continue to learn. i have a new
friend, and am appreciating los angeles as seen
from the perspective of a motor scooter.
some work animating little
vehicles for block
animated but didn't really work out as a long
distance freelance opportunity.
floyd, from one
eleven productions is a great guy. he is
gifting me a sweet old dual g4 desktop in exchange
for some web work. cool!
being single sucks. having
a hard time with my current situation. I want what
I had, but i need to continue to move forward. I
need to get out more,
hmm... where should i go
today to sit in front of my laptop to work? this
reality is what i wanted really. I can work and
travel, the new mobile me... looking forward.
recent frontline episode
to watch online called growing
up online ... "writing an email for
a lot of kids we talked to is equivalent to hand-writing
a letter. ... They describe e-mail as a slow archaic
way to keep in touch."
officially have holey socks
but i'm finally beginning to get it. currently looking
for full time employment.
my design, video and web
work will be posted regularly here on the site. let
me know what you think!
makes me cry, no matter
what your position is on the war, we still have
a responsibility towards the soldiers that have
suffered there. a
soldier remembers - ny times video on injured
soldier home from the iraq.
contacted M83 to
let me do video graphics at the echo on May 20th.
I should be able to start work on video for UK group futurecop soon,
which should be fun.
it is starting to warm
up around here, windows open at night is a southern
california luxury. I sure am going to miss this
place.
new video posted i did for
calarts
"second life" show that was in the mod.
site design for itsnotabomb will be posted soon.
I sure appreciate the fact
that i've been in a car
chase when i was young. I remember speeding
off from brock mathis, the high school jock taking
off with his "girl". received a nice kiss
that evening in my vw rabbit. too funny the things
you remember.
brought live video art
setup to anne's house for maxime
and rinus' going away party. i setup a drawing
table that projected into the space and amanda vigil, mike
afsa and jose hernandez fooled around creating
live video collages.
I want to travel,
graduation, end of year show, projection.

my first videographics
show was a success. i was pretty nervous, but things
worked out well. here are some pictures dave
house took and i adjusted. the graphics were for dreamtiger,
a shoegaze band.
They played with (among other bands) a band called shields,
they were pretty great.
Its been a rough month,
michelle and i are not together right now and i'm
now faced with the possibility that i'll move on
without her when i graduate. I am working through
quite a few things right now including trying to
find my dad, reconnecting with friends that i've
lost contact with, facing my own worst tendencies
not to mention staying on top of my final year of
art/design school here at calarts. The strange thing
about all this is how it has really kicked in my
productivity and my perspective on all the things
around me. however things work out, i'm going to
be a better person because of it.
post break-up above
last night a trackball saved
my life. feeling much better lately, reading bruce
mau 'massive change' finally. really interesting
ideas so far, huel howser, old documentaries and
home
staging pay designers to make your house
look nice so that you can pay for it in this
crappy market. i could do that. seems like it
would be fun, just not sure if i could handle
the day in and day out of that, also i would
feel a bit out of place... who knows.
bought a vhs/dvd
recorder from school money for my videographics
work. i've been frequenting amoeba and atom
records for old
vhs tapes of obscure stuff and make digital
versions of some of the footage. its pretty
great.
michelle and her parents and
I pitched in on a projector as
a christmas gift, so now i am wired for video on
my own terms!!! just into the diy aspect,
and its possibilities in terms of art making.
soon, we will not have
to move. preparing for later life i suppose.
cloverfield made me motion
sick, same with michelle.
hard-drive head gone bad
with all my video and work on it. $2200 to fix,
what a joke. moving on. in meantime looking for
alternatives to get this repaired.
it's raining lets play
almost done. it an audio/visual recording of real
time videographics that I recorded as i listened
to his mix. this project is also a collaborative
effort to explore things that interest me.
started to think about
contacting my real dad. sent an email to my mom,
and now i have a little but more knowledge of my
real father. the next step is to pursue this further.
not sure if its going to happen before i graduate
though. sure would be nice in a surreal utopian
crazy sort of way.
